July 2, 1969, Reggie Jackson, Oakland A's slugger, hits three homers against the Seattle Pilots — his eighth multi-homer game of the season, giving him 33 home runs in just 71 games. All three of Jackson's home runs are solo shots, 2 coming off Marty Pattin and the other off future teammate Diego Seguí. In Oakland's 5-0 win at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, only 5,000 fans came to see this incredible feat. He would finish the season with a career-high 47 homers.
