July 2, 1970, Horace Clarke of the New York Yankees breaks up a no-hitter for the third time in thirty days. With a ninth-inning single against the Detroit Tigers, Clarke breaks up the no-hit efforts of right-hander Joe Niekro. Earlier in the month, the switch-hitting Clarke spoiled no-hit bids by Jim Rooker of the Kansas City Royals on June 4th and Boston Red Sox pitcher Sonny Siebert on June 19th.
